Restaurant Helvetin Portti serves tourists at the gates of Helvetinjärvi National Park from spring to autumn, offering authentic local food and the opportunity to get to know our exotic animals. Here you will find everything you need for your trip, from accommodation to breakfast.

From us you can rent some water vehicles for summer days:
Sup board (available 2 pcs) 10 € / hour or 50 € / day, transport 0.60 € / kilometer
Canoe 25 € / day

Our staff is trained in first aid and now we also have Defibrillator in our restaurant! ♥ ️
Defibrillators are devices that send an electric pulse or shock to the heart to restore a normal heartbeat. They are used to prevent or correct an arrhythmia, an uneven heartbeat that is too slow or too fast. If the heart suddenly stops, defibrillators can also help it beat again.
Defibrillators are coming very common thing in finnish public places, and they are easy to use. You can’t make harm with “defi” – only save a life if needed! There are easy instructions for using the defi.

FOOD, SAUNAS AND WILD BOARS
The trip doesn’t have to end after leaving the park. In addition to restaurant services, we rent cottages and an exotic yurt sauna, for example. We also offer services to groups with our partners all year round.

During the summer, it’s possible to have a sauna in Hell in a unique, hand-crafted yurt sauna.
In between the excellent steam baths, you can take a dip in the refreshing Lake Kankijärvi.
It is possible to rent the sauna for use either during the stay or just else – book the sauna at the end of the hiking day, for example!

you will find our home farm right next door to the restaurant. Welcome to greet our wild boars and ostriches – it’s free!
